Adwolfe Volunteer Fire Department

The Clintwood Volunteer Fire Department is a fire system with 40 members.  Each member is sworn to uphold the provisions of the Town of Clintwood and Dickenson County in order to protect the lives and property of all residents in Dickenson County.

The Department is a central element in our local government's effort to promote life safety by coordinating the efforts of it's special teams dealing with fire suppression, hazardous materials, public education and the development and enforcement of ordinances and fire codes.

To our government, we pledge to uphold our responsibilities for fire and life safety.  We will continue our service delivery goals by providing the highest level of fire protection with maximum efficiency while operating within the limits of existing resources.

To the citizens we protect, we pledge to provide twenty-four hour a day protection from the devastation of fire.  Beyond the immediate crisis, the Fire Department will continue to promote fire safety education to all of our citizens, from adolescent to adult.

To our members, the Fire Department pledges to uphold the traditions of the fire service by never sacrificing the safety of it's members.  We will continue to take an aggressive approach to the fire problem through education and training for all members in the department.
